Strode Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026
Strode does not collect, sell or share any data. Your workouts stay on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads.
Health data
Strode uses Apple HealthKit to read your workouts, only with your permission, and only to show them in the app.
- Read from Apple Health: workouts and their routes, distance, heart rate, active energy, steps, swim strokes, running and cycling metrics, and effort.
- Saved to Apple Health: nothing. Strode never writes to Apple Health.
To open quickly and find repeated routes, Strode keeps a copy of what it read in its own storage on your iPhone. It never sends this data anywhere and never uses it for advertising. You can change or remove Strode's access at any time in the Health app on your iPhone: tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Strode. Deleting Strode deletes everything it saved.
If you have turned on Health syncing with iCloud, Apple syncs your Health data between your own devices under Apple's privacy policy. Strode has no part in that and no access to it.
Your changes and settings
Names you give workouts and courses, hidden workouts, units and other settings are stored on your iPhone only.
Maps
Route maps are drawn with Apple Maps. To show map tiles, your iPhone requests them from Apple, as with any app that shows a map, under Apple's privacy policy. Strode sends Apple no workout data.
What we share
Nothing. Strode has no way to send your data off your iPhone, so there is nothing to share with anyone, including me.
Children
Strode collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
