SwimLaps Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
SwimLaps does not collect, sell or share any data. Nothing leaves your Apple Watch or iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads.
Health data
SwimLaps uses Apple HealthKit to record your pool swims, the same way Apple's Workout app does.
- Saved to Apple Health: each swim as a pool swim workout, with distance, lengths, heart rate, stroke count and active energy.
- Read from Apple Health: heart rate, distance, stroke count and active energy, only to show them on the watch during and after your swim.
This data stays in Apple Health on your devices. SwimLaps never sends it anywhere and never uses it for advertising. You can change or remove SwimLaps' access at any time in the Health app on your iPhone: tap your profile picture, then Apps, then SwimLaps. The Delete button on the SwimLaps summary removes that swim from Health.
If you have turned on Health syncing with iCloud, Apple syncs your Health data between your own devices under Apple's privacy policy. SwimLaps has no part in that and no access to it.
Settings
Your pool length, goal, display and haptic choices are stored on your Apple Watch only.
What we share
Nothing. SwimLaps has no way to send data off your devices, so there is nothing to share with anyone, including me.
Children
SwimLaps collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
